Private Gladiator DVD to Set a Milestone in Adult

The blockbuster movie trilogy that changed the face of adult cinema is now getting ready to raise the standards of adult DVDs as well. The Private Gladiator, Private´s record-breaking hit for 2002, will be released in a special Collector´s Edition two-DVD set that will include features only previously found in mainstream Hollywood DVDs.
The DVD collector´s edition will offer 2 discs (DVD #2 for extras only), state-of-the-art 3D interactive menus, behind-the-scenes reports, a special backstage photobook, and a Hollywood-style documentary entitled The Empire of the Senses, which chronicles the making of Private´s most ambitious project to date. In addition, the Private Gladiator DVD set is the first Private film to be offered in 5.1 Surround Sound.
The most luxurious adult DVD collection ever produced, the Private Gladiator
Collector´s Edition comes assembled in a lavish packaging (glossy
cardboard), and includes a 28-page glossy insert that features never-seen-before
pictures from the film and production notes describing the production.
The first DVD in the set is dedicated to the first film in the Gladiator trilogy, and features 3D interactive menus, direct access to scenes, parental lock and trailers for upcoming Private releases. The 3D menus feature animated depictions of the Roman arena used in the film. Users can navigate the arena to access different scenes of the film or watch the film in its entirety.
The second DVD is packed with extras, including the 30 minute documentary, a special backstage photobook, artist´s renditions of the set designs, a blooper´s reel, and an interview with the director. The photobook section includes shots from the entire Gladiator trilogy, giving fans a sneak peek at the upcoming second and third parts of the series, which are scheduled to be released on video in July and September, and on DVD in September and November 2002.
As a special extra, Private has also hidden "Easter eggs" within the interactive menus - additional outtake sequences from the film that users have to search for throughout the 3D Roman arena. These special "Easter egg" scenes include amusing anecdotes of how Private´s actors managed to endure the sub-zero temperatures they experienced while filming the Gladiator in Budapest in winter.
Interest in the Private Gladiator has been tremendous. On video, the film is already on its way to become Private´s blockbuster of the year. The advanced orders for the DVD Collector´s Edition have been more than double the amount of Private´s regular titles!
